Construction of Aizendo
Thank you for allowing us to be involved with Aizen-do.
Unlike our usual work making fittings, we put a lot of effort into making this. Although it is not visible once it is complete, the mortise and tenon jointing technique we used to make the diamond-shaped transom. We also used the technique of Airizan processing method (woodworking technique for preventing warping of large wooden boards) for making sliding door. For this work, I was able to use the skills I have been studying as a joinery craftsman to make the fittings. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work on something I don't usually get to do.
Congratulations on the completion of the hall.
