Scaffold constructor

Hattasan Sonei-ji

Construction of Aizendo

We would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations on the safe completion of the ceremony to mark the completion of the new building.

We at Tobitaka Co., Ltd. have been in business for 15 years since we started out as a sole proprietor in 1993, and for 16 years since we became a corporation, so we are still a young company, but up until today we have been involved in the construction of many temples, shrines and cultural properties in the Kansai, Chukyo, Hokuriku and Kanto regions through our scaffolding and roofing work.

The year before last, I received a phone call from the second-generation master carpenter of Asuka Koumuten, who said in a very happy voice, ‘After holding a number of meetings with the chief priest and other people involved, I have been given the work to do the construction of Aizen-do, incorporating the design I proposed!’.

I was moved by the master carpenter's desire to create Aizen-do with the craftsmanship and passion that no other carpenter could imitate, and I was filled with enthusiasm to build the suyane(scaffolding and temporary roof placed around the hall) that would please the carpenters involved in each stage of the work so that the work would progress smoothly.
